BUILDING IMMUNITY- Flu' shots from nature

If you like freshly squeezed orange juice, then you are sure to love this drink. This is a citrus explosion that takes classic orange juice to a whole new and healthy level. It's the perfect zesty juice to start your day and boost your immune system.

Ingredients:

  • juice of 4 oranges

  • juice of 1 lemon

  • juice of 1 lime

  • 1 inch of fresh ginger root

  • 1 inch of fresh turmeric root

  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • pinch of Himalayan salt

  • pinch of cayenne pepper

*Source organic produce wherever possible to avoid pesticide residues and increase nutritional value.

Method:

Juice or blend the citrus fruits, ginger and turmeric together. You can juice the citrus by hand and then blend or put everything peeled through a juice extractor. I highly recommend using rubber gloves for peeling turmeric and cleaning your juicer, as it stains your fingers and all surfaces, so be cautious!

Then add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and a pinch of pink Himalayan salt and stir well. Transfer into a sterile glass bottle or jar. Store in the fridge for up to 10 days. (It barely lasts that long in my house!)

Take 1 'shot' sprinkled with a pinch of cayenne pepper, preferably every morning before breakfast for flu' prevention. Cheers to your good health!
